Covestro celebrates one-year anniversary of Vulkollan elastomer production at Map Ta Phut plant in Thailand

Covestro, a leading global supplier of high-performance materials, is pleased to celebrate the first anniversary of full production at its Map Ta Phut production site in Thailand. This site, as well as other investments in Barcelona, Spain, help to meet the growing global demand for Vulkollan raw materials.

After the successful commissioning, Covestro's Map Ta Phut production site has demonstrated excellent performance and efficiency, consolidating Covestro's position as a major player in the industry. At the same time, customers have received and confirmed the quality and unique properties of the products. This recognition shows Covestro's commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions with excellent mechanical properties and durability. As a result, Vulkollan can meet the needs of very demanding applications such as material handling drive wheels and load wheels.

In addition to existing assets, the new plant in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, and the plant in Barcelona, Spain also provide a stable supply of high-quality Vulkolan raw materials for existing and new applications. While continuously investing in state-of-the-art production capacities, Covestro is also making new advances: System and prepolymer grades create value for Vulkollan in new applications.
