Celanese Company CEO Replacement

Chemical company Celanese announced on December 10 that Scott Richardson, currently Celanese’s chief operating officer, will be appointed as chief executive officer and will join the company’s board of directors starting January 1, 2025. Richardson will succeed Lori Ryerkerk, who will resign as president, chief executive officer and Celanese director at the end of the year. Edward Galante, who has been elected as Celanese’s independent director since 2013, will serve as chairman of Celanese’s board of directors, effective upon Ryerkerk’s resignation.
